The honeymoon is for Democrats in Congress with the election of Scott Brown. Bipartisan support is now required in the Senate to pass bills. The question is, what does this mean for health care reform now? The idea of a sweeping health care reform plan is now a thing of the past. It winds of politics and the people have spoken blown. Well, at least in Massachusetts! Regardless, the question now is whether a health care reform bill can pass the Senate and be transformed into a law. Some believe there is simply no way to happen, while others believe there is the possibility of passing a bill, which is much smaller in scope. Strangely, the failure of sweeping health care reform is something that should be hailed by all sides of the political spectrum. Why? The law had such a smooth sound of special interests and legislative initiatives odd that there would be a huge bureaucratic monster that has an appeal to no one and would end a weight to each. So, what can we realistically expect at this point? Well, we have the policy search again. President Obama needs something, so he can claim a “win”. Republicans need to say something that the party can not say anything else than just to “”. Neither party can avoid the costs go in health care, so much control over the next few decades it will be that drive our national debt through the roof. It needs to do something, and eventually it will. What exactly that will look like the reform is the big political issue. If you can answer that it is time to play the lottery!
